    Mills broke a 12-year old PFL record with 511 passing yards to lead San Diego past Dayton, 41-9, in Saturday PFL action. It was the first 500-yard passing performance in league history and broke the record previously held by Butler’s DeWayne Ewing (497 yards vs. San Diego on Oct. 21, 2000). The outing was the ninth 500-yard outing in the FCS this season. Mason completed 31-of-41 passes, including four touchdown tosses, to finish the day with a 202.7 pass efficiency rating. He accounted for all but 68 yards of the San Diego offensive output on the night.

    Adler became only the second PFL defender to haul in multiple interceptions this season, recording two picks in Marist’s 44-7 PFL victory at Valparaiso, Saturday. Both interceptions stopped Valparaiso drives that had reached deep into Marist territory. Adler’s first interception stopped a drive at the Marist five-yard line and his second pick ended another drive at the Marist four-yard line. Both times the Red Foxes offense scored a 90-yard plus touchdown on the ensuing drive. Adler also led Marist with nine tackles and five solo stops.

    SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

    Sawyer’s 94-yard kickoff return put Morehead State ahead for good in a 70-28 PFL victory against Campbell, Saturday. Campbell tied the game at 14-14 with 9:32 remaining in the second quarter when Sawyer returned the ensuing kickoff to give Morehead State a 21-14 lead they would not relinquish. It was part of a banner day for Sawyer, who amassed 188 all-purpose yards and scored a touchdown on a 40-yard reception just before half that provided the eventual game-winning points. It was the fifth kickoff return for a touchdown in the PFL this season and first by an Eagles player since 2001.
